Jenny's life after graduation
Jenny graduated from New York University in May 1998. After her graduation, she went to work in the Market Information Group at Marsh Inc. Jenny was in charge of analyizing the insurance companies in Latin America. She was working on the 5th floor of 125 Broad Street, later her group moved its location to One World Trade Center, working in the 100th floor. Working in WTC was everyone's dream, and I think she enjoyed her work there. At least, she had a nice view all the way up there, looking over the Statue of Liberty, Hudson River, downtown Manhattan, and many more.
Jenny was a very hard working person; during her first year of work, she usually stayed at work pretty late, she even worked during the weekends. The security guard at the lobby of the WTC always recognized her. She always reviewed her work over and over again, making sure that everything was correct. Her boss, Jon, told me lots of nice things about her, that besides working, she also organized the social activities for her group. Often, Jenny would ask her co-workers to eat lunch in Chinatown, since it was near their offices. Her career at Marsh was promising, she just got promoted to Assistant Vice President; according to Jon, it takes at least three years to be promoted and rarely one can get the promotion at the first try, however, Jenny got the position which proved her hard work.
Besides work, Jenny studied in order to improve her professional career. She studied for the Broker License and CFA examinations. She also wanted to get an MBA, and she was studying for the GMAT. I am not sure if she even had time to rest, knowing all the things that she did. Her daily routine during the weekdays was to wake up around 5:30am, eat some fruits, go to the gym located in Whitehall St., probably 10 minutes away from her office, get her venti-size coffee at Starbucks, and then by around 8:30am, she would be at her office. This was the same routine that she followed during the day of Tuesday 9/11.
Besides work..Jenny also was involved in the community. She volunteered in a program called APEX where she tutored and helped high school students on their school work.
Jenny liked to travel a lot. She went to California at least twice, to New Orleans, to Orlando, and to other places. Her most recent trip was to Miami, she enjoyed it a lot since it was a while where she hasn't been to the beach and during her stay she went there almost every day. In addition, Jenny enjoyed tasting new type of food, and drinking wine, specially red wine. She liked wine tasting, and she enjoyed going to Napa Valley in California with her college friends, Katie, Jane, and Anita. I think they got drunk afterwards according to my cousin Tommy, hehehe...She also liked to go to Dim Sum, wherever she went (outside of NYC), she would try at least Dim Sum in that place and compared to the ones in NYC, I think her favorite Dim Sum food is from Hong Kong.
Jenny also liked to try new things. When she was in Six Flags Great Adventure with her friends, she went to all the rides. I think on July 2001, she went to somewhere in Pennsylvania, I believe, to Poconos, where she went to skydiving. I think very few people would be brave enough to try that, but seeing the video that they made of her doing skydiving, she seemed to enjoy it a lot, at least she was smiling all the time :-)
During her entire life, Jenny had lots of friends all over the world, friends in Venezuela, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other nations, including, of course, the US. Distance wasn't an obstacle for her in maintaining contact with her friends. She often wrote mails, e-mails, or called her friends.
Jenny had so many things that she wanted to do in life such as getting an MBA; visiting Venezuela, she hasn't been there in 4 years; traveling around the world (she has never been to Europe); probably living in California if she had the opportunity to move; she was planning a trip to come and visit me in San Jose with William for Thanksgiving, but I guess that would never happen...
Jenny had accomplished so many things in life, as to my knowledge, I think she had enjoyed her life to the fullest; and the only thing that I think she hasn't fullfill yet was dating someone, or finding her other half...
In her life, she used to say "You should enjoy your life whenever you can, you don't know what may happen tomorrow", I guess that is very true, that changed my perspective of living my life, and I am sure it also changed your perspective. I wish that whenever she is, whether she is in this world, or in another world, she would be happy and probably enjoying herself. Jenny had been such a great person who will be remembered forever...

Vida de Jenny después de graduación
Jenny se graduó de la Universidad de Nueva York en Mayo de 1998. Después de su graduación, ella fue a trabajar en el Grupo de Información de Mercadeo en Marsh Inc. Jenny estaba a cargo de analizar las compañías de seguros en Latinoamérica. Ella estuvo trabajando en el 5o piso en 125 Broad Street, más tarde su grupo se relocalizó en One World Trade Center, trabajando en el piso 100. Trabajar en WTC fue un sueño de muchas personas, y yo pienso que ella disfrutó su trabajo en ese lugar. Por lo menos, ella tenía una buena vista allá en todo lo alto, mirando la Estatua de la Libertad, Hudson River, downtown Manhattan, y mucho más.
Jenny fue una persona muy trabajadora; durante su primer año de trabajo, ella normalmente se quedaba en su trabajo hasta muy tarde, incluso ella trabajó durante los fines de semana. La guardia de seguridad en la planta baja de WTC siempre la reconocía. Ella siempre revisaba su trabajo una y otra vez, asegurándose de que todo estuviese correcto. Su jefe, Jon, me dijo muchas cosas buenas de ella, además de trabajar, ella también organizó actividades sociales para su grupo. Muchas veces, Jenny preguntaba a sus compañeros(as) de trabajo para almorzar en Chinatown, ya que quedaba cerca de la oficina. Su carrera en Marsh era muy prometedora, acababan de promeverla a Asistente de Vice-Presidente; de acuerdo con Jon, toma por lo menos tres años para ser promovido(a) y rara vez uno puede obtener la promoción en el primer intento, sin embargo, Jenny consiguió la posición que es prueba de su esfuerzo en el trabajo.
Además del trabajo, Jenny estudió para mejorar su carrera profesional. Ella estudió para los exámenes de Licencia de Corredor y CFA. Ella también quería obtener un MBA, y ella estaba estudiando para el GMAT. Yo no sé dónde ella agarraba tiempo para descansar, teniendo en cuenta todas las cosas que ella hacía. Su rutina diaria durante los días de la semana era despertarse a la 5:30am, comer algo de frutas, ir al gimnasio en Whitehall St., probablemente a 10 minutos de su oficina, comprar su café tamaño venti en Starbucks, y alrededor de la 8:30am, ella estaría en su oficina. Esta fue su misma rutina durante el día de Martes 9/11.
Además del trabajo...Jenny también participaba en la comunidad. Ella se hizo voluntaria en un programa llamado APEX donde ella dio clases particulares a los estudiantes de bachillerato.
A Jenny le gustaba viajar mucho. Ella fue a California por lo menos dos veces, a Nueva Orleans, a Orlando, y a otras ciudades. Su más reciente viaje fue a Miami, donde disfrutó muchísimo ya que hacía tiempo que ella no iba a la playa y durante su estadía, ella iba ahí casi todos los días. A Jenny le encantaba probar comida nueva, y tomar vino, especialmente el vino rojo. A ella le encantaba ir a probar vino, y gozaba cuando ella fue a Napa Valley en California con sus amigas de la universidad, Katie, Jane, y Anita. Creo que ellas se emborracharón después, de acuerdo con mi primo Tommy, jejeje...A ella también le encantaba ir a Dim Sum, a todos los lugares que ella iba (fuera de NYC), ella probaba Dim Sum y compararlo con el de NYC, creo que su lugar de Dim Sum favorito es de Hong Kong.
A Jenny le encantaba probar cosas nuevas. Cuando ella fue a Six Flags Great Adventure con sus amigos(as), ella fue a jugar en todas las máquinas. Creo que durante el Julio de 2001, ella fue a un lugar en Pennsylvania, pienso, que a Poconos, donde ella fue al paracaidismo. Yo pienso que muy pocas personas tienen el corage de hacer eso, pero viendo el video en donde la filmaron practicando el paracaidismo, ella parecía que estaba gozando mucho, por lo menos estuvo sonriendo todo el tiempo :-)
Durante toda su vida, Jenny ha tenido muchos amigas(os) alrededor del mundo, amigas(os) en Venezuela, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapur, y otros países, incluyendo, por supuesto, los Estados Unidos. La distancia no fue un obstáculo para ella en mantener contacto con sus amigas(os). Ella muchas veces mandaba cartas, correos electrónicos, o llamaba a sus amigas(os).
Jenny tenía muchas cosas que ella quería hacer durante su vida como obtener un MBA; visitar de nuevo a Venezuela, ella no ha ido ahí por 4 años; viajar alrededor del mundo (nunca ha estado en Europa); tal vez vivir en California si tuviera la oportunidad de mudarse; ella estaba planeando viajar para visitarme en San José con William durante el Día de Acción de Gracias, pero me imagino que eso nunca pasará...
Jenny ha logrado muchas cosas en su vida, de acuerdo con lo que sé, yo pienso que ella ha disfrutado de su vida al máximo; la única cosa que pienso que ella no ha hecho es salir con alguien, o buscar su media naranja...
En su vida, ella siempre decía "Uno debería disfrutar de su vida cuando puede, uno nunca sabe lo que le pueda pasar mañana", yo creo que eso es muy cierto, eso me cambió mi forma de ver a la vida, y estoy segura que también cambió su perpectiva. Deseo que ella, esté donde esté, si está en este mundo o en otro mundo, que ella esté feliz y que ella esté disfrutándose de sí misma. Jenny fue una persona maravillosa que siempre será recordada por siempre ...
